Loved this restaurant! The ambience was perfect. Menu choices would please any appetite and the wine selection was extensive. Very expensive, but worth it. For an appetizer we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. Delicious!! My spouse had the Ultimate Mixed Grill and I had a crab cake and wedge salad. Food was excellent. The only improvement we could have asked for is that the food be stove hot. They serve fresh bread prior to the meal that had excellent flavor as well.

This is a great restaurant for special occasions. The interior is unique and the location on the plaza is wonderful. The seafood is fresh and well prepared, and we get the chocolate bag every time we go. Highly recommended!

So many reasons to love this place but as of recently its their reaction to Covid. Every team member has been great. Cheyenne was a joy as a server. It was my husband's birthday, we got a last minute sitter but weren't sure if we would be comfortable going out. This entire team took those fears away. They got us a reservation. Helped us feel comfortable. Put us up and away from the main crowd. Kudos and gold stars guys! Thank you for your dedication to protecting everyone's health!

Superb, all around! Our server JJ was a delight and the food was as good as always. Friend in town and thought this would be good place to have good food and conversation. The Coconut Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were great and the Crab Stuffed Shrimp and Sea Scallops were great entrees. We had the Chocolate torte? for dessert. Glad I chose this as a place to eat.

The food is good, I have always had good servers. It does tend to be a very popular happy hour spot but they have great drinks and food for happy hour. My friend and I go all the time for happy hour and for desert! You must try the chocolate bag. It is rich so best shared. We do not go a lot for dinner however because I do not like seafood so happy hour tends to work better for me.

Always have to try a chocolate bag when we go. Food is always super yummy. Just wish it didn't cost so much

Pricey, but worth it!!! Best steak I've ever had, medium rare - not bloody, but soft to the touch! The calamari is delicious, with just the right puffy crunch breading. The "shrimp kisses" (bacon wrapped shrimp with pepper jack cheese) we're delish, and bigger than I anticipated. The drinks are well made - not watered down, but not over poured either, the mixologist knows what they're doing. The environment makes for a casual feel, that you dress up or down to, and there's a very large patio area as well. I highly recommend for a special date/occasion, for dinner. But definitely hit up the happy hour if you're on a budget.

The appetizer and entrees were excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped guide my meal selection. The hostess was rude / overlooked us waiting to be seated. Outside of that the atmosphere was perfect for an afternoon bite.

Over priced, not clean. Needs updating mostly paint, decor and furniture!!! Won't return

It most definitely didn't live up to it's reputation...food wasn't even warm and the waiter was horrible. Very disappointed.

The scenery is beautiful. Drinks were hand made and tasted gorgeous. Area is great. A downside I'd give it is the price for my entree and the crab cake along with then mediocre result on then entree. Tried oysters for the first time here and it was much better than I thought. The chocolate bag was amazing also. This place would be 5 stars if my entree would have been better than average. Is slightly overpriced, but the quality is good for the most part.

Awesome oyster selection, great atmosphere and service. Would recommend the andouille pasta dish as well!

It is a great and classic place to dine at..very neat place. The food was excellent..and the server and customer service was wonderful

Grilled Salmon was tender and very tasty. Sides were of long green beans in a delicate garlic sauce and mixed lighted tasted zucchini, red peppers and red potatoes. The Service is Sophisticated, Classy, Efficient and Polite. Ample seating. Disabled accessible. Expensive, yet well worth the money for Quality.

Staff were courteous. Everything was well organised. Food was good.

We got several platters for our Super Bowl party and they went over fantastically. Seafood, vegetables, hummus, bruschetta all fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend. If you’re a Costco member they sell M&S gift cards at a discount ($100 of gift cards for $80 I believe) Save some money and have great platters at the same time.

I came in during happy hour. Having a reservation, I was seated at a window overlooking the Country Club Plaza from the west side of the restaurant. Sound level was moderate to high due to happy hour.Service was excellent, Elina made great suggestions was friendly and efficient: there at just the right time and not too often.I found special enjoyment in the Ruby Thyme cocktail. Taking a Elina’s suggestion, I ordered the McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Trio and it was excellent. Sadly, between the entree and Caesar salad, I had no room for dessert.M&S remains one of my top five favorite restaurants in the Kansas City area So much so, I purchased a Landry’s Select Club membership.

Overall, a nice place. Service on our visit was less than impressive. The order was mixed up in multiple ways. We had to wait for one of our dishes to be made after the rest of the table received their food. The results were a rushed salmon that was undercooked (see attached picture). Thankfully the manager eventually came to our table (at our request) and comp’ed fish but this was unacceptable at a “high scale seafood restaurant.” Proceed with caution. The rest of the food was great and worth the high price.

Stopped in in a whim. Food was delicious. We split the steak and lobster tail dinner. Fantastic steak and lobster. We didn't even use the butter for the lobster tail. The goat cheese mashed potatoes were amazing. Service was not what I'd expect for such a restaurant. Definitely weren't rushed, but had to seek waiter out to ask for items.A small thing but was annoyed at end of meal, when we saw other tables get bread service and we didn't. Even after waiting a long time to order initially. Beautiful setting and view over looking the plaza.

Lovely atmosphere. Kyle was a very attentive and patient server. Gold Star Kyle! We three were very happy with our food; yummy and presented well.

The food was pretty good but overpriced for what it was. The appetizers were very tasty and my companions food was excellent however my scallops really lacked flavor as if they had been frozen for a very long time. I would give it higher marks but when we ordered two lemon drop martinis at the bar before dinner each one was only half-filled. It was pretty obvious that the bartender had only made one and divided it between the two of us but we paid for two drinks. We actually ordered the second round and they did the same thing. I would have given them more stars if not for that.

The food is great the service very good you might find the portions average size. A tad on the pricey side but overall a very pleasant experience

This was a truly wonderful meal. The restaurant has a beautiful ceiling and a great view of the plaza lights. There is a parking garage right behind the restaurant. Our server was polite, attentive, and handled our group with ease. Every part of my meal was seriously delicious. We shared the chocolate bag between the table for dessert. It was tremendous, I'd honestly go back just for that in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a really nice dining experience, with a great view and wonderful food, it is worth the money to come here.

I don't get out much but I got out of the house after the Chiefs won their game it was just an all around good day and then the food oolala it was so good and our waiter was so nice and friendly he said he had only been working there for a week. So my girlfriend's and I finished the evening on a positive note! McCormick & Schmick's is awesome oh yeah and the bonus was it was Restaurant Week and a great experience for me.😍

Great chain seafood restaurant with a high quality menu. I enjoyed the stuffed salmon a chopped salad and French silk pie. All were delicious. The service was good. My only complaint is that’s it’s a little loud. We went for a Christmas girls night out and enjoyed ourselves!

The only thing I absolutely love here is the Chocolate Bag! Best dessert hands down!! Unfortunately, anytime I decide to give their food another shot, I always end up disappointed. When I'm paying what I consider to be Capital Grille like prices, I'm also going to expect that quality of food to support it..but never happens. Will just stick this being an AFTER dinner spot. Great location to enjoy drinks on the patio accompanied by the famous Chocolate Bag

We went there for Valentine's day dinner. Even though it was really busy, our server was on top of it. I had bouillabaisse and it was great. My husband got rib eye. We didn't expect the steak was so good. Next time I might have steak too, altough they have lots of seadfood options. Cream brulee was also good but I think shring one would be better choice because it was a pretty good size.

Food. Was. Amazing! Our server was very gracious and patient. She was on top of our needs and was very polite, thankful and respectful. I wish I could remember her name to reference. But she was great! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Great Blue Point Oysters, followed by crab cake dinner... what more could you want? Yes, I agree, a vodka up Martini goes well with everything.Nice outdoor patio two stories above the street. Great views from the dinning room.

Excellent! Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Really generous portions. Service was excellent: friendly and responsive but not intrusive. The atmosphere was quiet and elegant, perfect for a celebratory dinner in private. Spotlessly clean and staff was very efficient. Highly recommend!

Always a great place to grab a delicious meal. Thanks Miguel for helping to make our 8th anniversary special. The food was awesome. The crab stuffed mushrooms were some of the best I’ve had in Kansas City. The swordfish was very tasty. My fav fish and chips were very good. The chocolate bag dessert was sooo delicious. The crème brûlée was wonderful. The atmosphere is always great.

Cool looking restaurant. Our server was really nice and frequently checked in on us. Took a while to be seated when we arrived. The hostess was chatting by the back and clearly saw us waiting. It was a Monday afternoon, restaurant was not busy whatsoever. The hostess only came over to seat us when she saw someone came to ask us if we had been helped yet.

Pretty good service but very pricey.

The food was okay we decided to go during restaurant week kc were the deal was $35 for 3 course meal. We asked can we do add on to this deal and the answer was YES.. but secretly is was NO we was charged full price for everything. I love seafood and that was my choice due to the $35 deal. Just to put in simple it lacked SEASONING in EVERY dish except dessert OMG that candied apple pie was soooo good that why I gave 3 stars. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL too

Not happy that we drove 40 minutes for happy hour on their patio only to be told that they no longer have happy hour due to the pandemic. They should update their website and take it off of their menu. In my opinion it is misleading.

Our favorite place for date night or happy hour. The atmosphere is awesome. We are such fans, this is where I proposed to my wife. It is definitely a special place to us. As for the fod... Always the freshest seafood and never had a bad Steak there either. Went for Mothers day (2019) and it was outstanding as always. The chocolate bag is a must for dessert. If you have never been dont hesitate you wont be disappointed.

My all-time favorite place for happy hour. $5 cheeseburger and fries from $6 cocktails make it cheaper than even cheap bar and grills. Let alone a nice place.For non happy hour the place is pretty average for the price. Cocktails are very good with pretty average pricing. Chocolate basket is one of a kind and alone makes it worth going to on a regular basis. I don't eat seafood so I can't speak for any of those options.

Definitely a favorite place at the plaza. During COVID social distancing, they did a great job of almost normalcy and a great atmosphere.
